Hunter is Happy To Announce Our 6th Annual Gift of Heat Program!

We will be accepting nominations below until December 1, 2018

The Gift of Heat program is something really special to all of us at Hunter Heat & Air. It’s one way we can use our talents and resources to give back to those in need. One of the hardest things our technicians run across is when they go to a home and the homeowners have no means to replace or repair a non-functioning or failing heating system. It really hits home.

That’s why we started this program!

We started searching for ways to do it and ran across a company in Phoenix, Arizona (Hobaica Services), who had a very successful program doing this same thing! They really inspired us and thankfully we have several vendors who saw our vision and wanted to help as well! Then something happened that I didn’t expect. Several of the members of the Hunter team also donated money and time to repair the systems for those that didn’t receive the new unit!  Customers even donated money or parts to help out! Other contractors were inspired by the giving and started doing it as well!  The helping spirit & sharing of love is contagious!

We have been able to help more and more people each year and now with 5 locations, we can help people throughout the state & even North Texas!

Imagine a world, where everyone was intentional about helping others!  So if you know of anyone who is in need of a gift that warms the heart as well as the home, nominate them for the Gift of Heat below!

Our hope for this program is that it does 3 things:

1. Brings glory to God!

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven”. Mathew 5:16

2. Bless families in need or going through a tough time.

Show them the love of Jesus through our actions. Jesus said; “So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13: 34-35

3. Inspire & motivate others in a position of influence to do the same!

Just like we were inspired by another company, I urge you to use your talents & gifts, as a way to bless others. Imagine a world, where everyone was intentional about helping others! So if you know of anyone who is in need of a gift that warms the heart as well as the home, go to hunterheatandair.com & nominate them for the Gift of Heat!

“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works”. Hebrews 10:24

Thank you all for your support in this program!

Sincerely,
Chris Hunter & the Hunter Heat & Air family

We will be accepting Nominations until December 1, 2018

Gift of Heat Message 2016

The gift of heat program for 2016 was an enormous success! We were able to install numerous central heat and air systems, fix plumbing systems, repair several non-functioning heaters and help with electrical upgrades needed as well! One of the most special moments of all was when we were able to present this precious lady her new system live on Facebook.

Take a look here: https://www.facebook.com/hunterhvac/videos/10158294680815144/.

It was great to visit with her and be able to provide her a blessing. We found out earlier in the year (2017), that she had passed away and is now with the Lord. I’m thankful for the family and friends that recommend people to receive this blessing. It truly ends up being a bigger blessing for those on the giving end!

Gift of Heat Message 2015

Hunter Gift of Heat photoThis last week we have had the pleasure of giving a really good gift to people in need. The Gift of Heat. Our customers have submitted nominations this month for people who have a non-functioning or old, unsafe heating system and no financial means to replace or repair. This year we received more nominee’s than ever. So many, that we knew it was bigger than what we could possibly do. So we started praying for God to help us do something bigger than we could even imagine.

Right after we prayed, we had a customer bring us an envelope with $500 in it for the gift of heat!

Then another person gave $500! Then Lennox donated a complete system! Then another manufacturer donated a system! Then the Hunter team donated their time! A Hunter Super Tech personally donated a furnace! Another contractor donated electrical services and materials. A customer joined in and donated a complete system. Then the team went and bought Christmas presents for a family in need. You see where this is going.

We were able to fix numerous systems, some of which have been nonfunctional for years! We had a gentleman who was disabled and described by others as “someone who would always give the shirt off his back to help those in need”. We replaced his furnace that had a very dangerous hole in the heat exchanger, which could have released poisonous gas into the home. There was a family that had medical bills mounting and forced to choose whether to buy a present for their young children, or not pay bills. The youngest child weighed just over a pound at birth and spent 2 years in children’s hospital. Thanks to Lennox we were able to give them a complete heating and cooling system plus, the Hunter team members wanted to go one step further and buy presents for all the kids! An Army veteran was nominated as well. He is disabled and recently found out he has cancer. Their family’s heat hasn’t worked in 4 years. We had a Super Tech who donated a furnace he had recently installed in a home he owned & was so touched by the mans story, he knew he wanted to help! So he removed the furnace so it could be donated to help this family! We had a very sweet school teacher who is a single mother, raising 3 kids, that we recently found her heating system to very unsafe. 4 people nominated her and one even said “she prays to God all the time that she can keep her children warm this winter”. She now has a complete new system!

Here’s 5 things the gift of heat has made very clear to me this Christmas season:

Ask And It Will Be Given

7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. Mathew 7:7-12

So many times we don’t have because we haven’t asked! Asking our Heavenly Father for our every need should be our first place to go instead of our last resort. Just like any good father, He wants to help His children!

It Is More Blessed To Give Than Receive

35 And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20:35

This gift of heat program has been a huge blessing to the Hunter team. It really made us stop and think of what all we take for granted. The feeling of helping someone in need with the gifts we have is like none other! It’s contagious as well! It starts to spread and more and more people want to get involved. Try it out & see, you will be blessed!

All Good Gifts Come From God

17 Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.] 18 He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession. James 1:17-18

We are God’s prize possession! If you have something good in your life, thank God for it because it is from Him.

We Are Broken Too

These people needed the gift of heat due to broken heating systems. We can fix this brokenness by repairing or replacing the heating system. We are broken as well, just like those heating systems. No matter how good we are or good things we do, we can’t even begin to measure up to Gods standards. The Bible tells us that in Romans 3:23 23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. We are all broken and need to be rescued. The results of a broken heating system is a cold house and being uncomfortable. The results of a broken life due to sin, is death.

Everyone Can Have This Gift

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

We deserved death, but God still chose to give us a gift! The gift of all gifts, eternal life in Christ Jesus! Why would God do this? Because He is the ultimate giver and He loves us! It was always in his plan to save us with this gift! 16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17  This is the Christmas story! That he would send His son to earth to be born in a manger, live a perfect, sin free life and die upon a cross taking the punishment we deserved. Then 3 days later, He came back alive to beat death and give us eternal hope!

When we went to tell the recipients of the Gift of Heat that they were the ones receiving the gift, they were overwhelmed with joy and thankfulness. We praise God that he can use anyone, including heat and air guys to help spread His love and message! The Ultimate gift is free, you just have to believe and accept it!

Merry Christmas & stay warm!
